Kobudo  history  |   traditional weapons

The technical syllabus of Kobudo teached by Soke Robert Clark consists in the detailed study of attacks, parries, kata, applications and history of the main traditional weapons, not only from Okinawa, but also those typical of the Japanese medieval (nunchaku, sai, tonfa, bo, kama, katana, wakizashi, jo, naginata, yari, tessen, yawari, manrikigusari).
The study of Kobudo is not an end in itself, because being able to use traditional weapons with self-possession means not only to improve one's coordination and to approach an agelong culture, but also to be able to handle, with the best skills in adaptability, common use objects which can be helpful to knock an attacker out. For this reason Kobudo is proposed as an integral part of the Jiu-Jitsu course, carried out in total security.
